Legacy Events – Planning & Delivering.
‘Face-to-face’ is and probably always will be, the most successful form of Legacy marketing and is likely to give you the highest return on your investment. Talking directly to your audiences about Legacies is far more likely to inspire them than other channels, especially if you can link conversations to local projects which will spark an emotional connection.
How can I help you with this?
Throughout my career I have personally organised over 110 Legacy Events (as of 2022). They have ranged from casual, inexpensive coffee mornings to fancy afternoon teas, glitzy evening celebrations, and even museum tours! There isn’t a ‘preferred option’ here, the event can be whatever you want it to be, and appeals to or feels most appropriate to your audience.
I can support you with all aspects of planning, from deciding the best type of event to host and selecting presenters or speakers, to identifying who you should invite. If required, I would be thrilled to deliver the Legacy message at your event and have the all-important follow up conversations with attendees and enquirers.
In short, I can help you to create and manage the perfect Legacy event for your organisation.

Testimonials
“I worked with Sanita on a couple of volunteer and donor thank you events which had a legacy ask. The event was an the opportunity to get volunteers together from all our services, thank them personally and provide a charity -wide and local update.
Very few volunteers knew that they could support the charity through a gift in their Will which was an important message we wanted to share.
The legacy ask was very gentle and no-one felt uncomfortable having been asked to support in this way. It was subtle but got the point across. And at each of the events, we had over a third of volunteers express their interest in wanting to leave a legacy to the charity!
In addition, we don’t get the chance, very often, to spoil our volunteers and these events allowed us to do that. They all remarked how much they had enjoyed it and wanted to know when we were going to do it again! – Sarah Murray, Operations Manager at Royal Voluntary Service
